What you Need to
Know
-
Discussion has been underway for tall cell towers in Upper Brookville.
-
New Village Hall site at the corner of Wolver Hollow Road and 25A (a Village Owned property) is the priority location.
-
The Zoning Board of Appeals has been stripped of its power to vote for or against a cell tower on Village property. A lawsuit has been filed with the goal of restoring full powers to the ZBA to hear and vote upon the evidence, and on the merits of our resident input!
-
We expect the application process for a cell tower on this site to be initiated in the coming months. Once the process begins, our feedback as residents will be factored out!
About Us
-
We all need good cell service for important and sometimes time-sensitive calls — for work, for pleasure, for emergencies
-
We want to explore less invasive options than tall cell towers that change the character, beauty, and landscape of our Village
-
We want the right technology for our needs
The Importance of a Good Code
Did you know a telecom company can plant an
ugly antenna or equipment box in your front yard without your consent? When a truck arrives and begins installation, it will be too late to do anything about it. You will call the Village only to find out our current code did not protect you. Be advised! This scenario is already happening on Long Island.
Good code can prevent this from happening!
